Reconnect.  Rebuild.  Reignite.

REIGNITE is a 90-day strategy to rebuild connection, ownership, discipleship, and spiritual fire in Infusion Students. As school ends, graduations happen, and schedules shift, we are making this season intentional — believing these next three months will become one of the most transformational seasons in our student ministry’s history.

“I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you…” — 2 Timothy 1:6

Leadership Standards

How Leaders Lead During REIGNITE

Leaders are shepherds, coaches, culture carriers, and activators. These commitments define what leading during this season looks like.

Be consistent — your presence matters to students
Personally engage students, not just other leaders
Notice quiet or disconnected students — go to them
Follow up mid-week, not only on Friday nights
Pray for students by name, every week
Invite students into real responsibility
Communicate clearly and proactively
Debrief honestly after every event
Celebrate wins publicly and specifically
Track touchpoints — know your students
Help students own the ministry, not just attend
Spread out in the room — avoid leader clusters
🏆
The Real Win

The win is that students were equipped to help carry the ministry — not that leaders managed to pull off every event.

Ministry Support

Volunteers

Volunteers are adults and young adults who have made a committed decision to serve at Infusion Student Ministry events and gatherings. They are not the core leadership team — but they make the core team possible. Without a strong volunteer bench, events fall on too few people.

👥
What Makes a Volunteer Different from a Core Team Member

Core team members have defined ongoing roles and carry the ministry week to week. Volunteers are event-committed — they show up when called, serve in a specific capacity, and go deep on presence over responsibility. Both are essential. Neither replaces the other.

🙌 Presence Volunteers
Show up to every FNL and stand in the room. Their job is to be a warm, known face — spreading out, engaging students they don’t already know, and creating a sense that this place is full of adults who care.
🤝 Relational Support Volunteers
Assigned to check in with specific students over time — not just at events. They follow up mid-week, pray by name, and carry the pastoral care load alongside the Ministry Care Lead.
🎯 Event Operations Volunteers
Support setup, teardown, check-in, and logistics at larger events — BBQ, Carnival, Fields & Fire, and Back2School Sunday. Operationally minded, practically focused.
📚 Bible Study Support Volunteers
Assist with The Source Monday Zoom sessions. Help facilitate discussion, manage breakout rooms, and provide adult presence in a digital environment where students need to feel seen.
🎆 Outreach & Serve Day Volunteers
Support the Brooklyn/Queens Outreach Day (6/4), Church Carnival (7/11), and community-facing events. Often mobilized from outside the regular FNL attending base.
👀 Fire Night & Special Event Volunteers
Recruited specifically for high-moment events — Fire Night (6/19), Worship Under the Stars (8/21), and Youth Takeover Sunday (6/14). Called upon for the nights that require more hands and more heart.
Volunteer Expectations
Committed to the values and safety culture of Infusion Student Ministry
Background-checked before serving with students
Responsive to communication from the Event Coordinator
Present for at least the events they have committed to
Supportive of student ownership — serving alongside, not over
Volunteer Recruitment Focus
Prioritize people already connected to PLC
Invite young adults (18–25) as a bridge generation
Connect with alumni who have aged out of student ministry
Ask current parents who have margin and a heart for students
Target: 8–12 active volunteers in the rotation by first FNL

Infusion Student Ministries
The Next 90 Days Matter.

REIGNITE is a commitment to shepherd students with intentionality during one of the most important transition windows of the year.

Students who have drifted can reconnect. Students who have been quiet can find their voice. Students who have only attended can begin to serve. Students who feel anonymous can find their crew. Students who are graduating can remain spiritually anchored.

We are using this summer to rebuild culture, strengthen discipleship, activate ownership, engage families, and infuse students with faith, identity, and purpose.

Let’s lead like they matter. ∞
